Democratic Republic of Congo - Clean Water Project

Two women in the Democratic Republic of Congo carry water buckets on their heads during an LDS Charities clean water project
LDS Charities partnered with the government in the Democratic Republic of Congo to help a community pipe clean water to their city for the first time. The clean water meant improved health and safety to the members of the community. LDS Charities provided the supplies, money, and technical assistance for the project, and the members of the community dug an 18-mile trench that would bring clean water to the community. Now 500 communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo have benefited from LDS Charities clean water projects.
