Dominican Republic - Neonatal Resuscitation Training

Two medical personnel practice resuscitation techniques on a manikin during an LDS Charities training
LDS Charities trained doctors and nurses in the Dominican Republic to improve newborn resuscitation and decrease the infant mortality rate. LDS Charities provided equipment and training to medical personnel on how to resuscitate babies who had difficulties breathing at birth. These medical workers then trained their coworkers. This knowledge has helped doctors and nurses in the Dominican Republic save many babies who may not have survived.
